I made one for my daughter and after taking pictures of her bookcase and book titles, I added those titles to some of them. I also printed family pictures and had them on the shelves. Here is a photo.

I made one as a row-by-row swap with a group of friends. I wanted a throw rather than a skinny long quilt, so I cut some shelves in half for another range of shelves. Then hung a picture over the "wall" on the shorter side. On the top shelf I put a snow globe and a picture of a loon (my late dad's favorite).

Great quilts y'all. In the cat quilt, I would include things cats go for. A little mouse, a lizard, a catnip plant on top. This quilt is on my to do list.

This is a picture of the pantry quilt I made. I have a bookshelf one started in a bin. I put pictures on it with crochet doilies under them. Also a clock, vase, fancy lidded candy dish etc. You can always put canning jars with buttons, candy whatever in them. Of course it looks better when one is knocked over and spilling something out. Yours are very cute and I love the one with the wall and picture hanging.

I have just finished one for my niece for Christmas. I took pictures from her apartment and styled it like them. I did embroider some of her favorite book names. It took forever! However it was really fun! Good luck. They take a lot of time.

My niece is an author and has had 9 books published through Harlequin. I've been thinking of making her a bookcase quilt featuring pictures of her books.
