This would be very enjoyable! My vote is for A Single Thread.

the list is under "books." :)

I love the idea of the book club.

Count me in. I love the Elm Creek Series...especially Runaway Quilt but Cross County Quilters would be a good start. Clare O'Donohue has three quilt mystery books that are good reads. Hadn't heard of Marie Bostwick but sounds like her book would be good too. Alot of good "quilt" reading material. Just let me know when we start and what book. This is a great idea!

I want to join in! Will the books be discussed in this thread or will there be a separate place for the discussions?

Here are a couple more books to consider:

Clay's Quilt - Silas House Takes place in Appalachia
Aunt Jane of Kentucky Eliza Calvert Hall first published in the late 1800's Aunt Jane is a quilter and story teller. She is very outspoken. Great book.

Ok, we are going to read Cross Country Quilters first, based on the "votes". You will find further entries in the diary section under Quilt Novel Musings. Someone asked about a section. I am going to try it this way as a blog type diary for the first book. If we get a lot of people joining in then maybe a section. I have to see how much time this takes.

Join me in Quilt Novel Musings on Tuesday. I am away this weekend get back sometime monday.
I'll set the format then and we will get started. If you know of anyone else who might like this, clue them in. I'm posting this message in Quilt Novel Musings in the diary section as well. Here we go....

a chapter a week? Is anyone out there willing to post a few questions to the rest of us to get us all started each week? the only caution is not to let our thread get over heated or personal...to stay positive. We should avoid or be very careful about politics and religion even if its in the book....just my thought. I know many have strong opinions on both. Our main goal is to keep this fun and have a place to discuss the books together. Anyone want to take a stab at doing rules for the club or should we just start and see how it goes?
