    Default Border help again!

Prism99 thank you so much for the Craftsy link for the braid border. Now, braid is done. It is 9.5 inches wide. My quilt top is 74X74. I need to add a white border in between the 2. Is there a rule of how wide it should be with that wide of outer border? The braid is made with 2.5 inch strips. Should I do the white inner border 2.5 inches too or Wider? I have plenty of material and I am aiming for a king size quilt. I just want to do what looks pleasing to the eye. Thank you!

I make them the size that looks good to me. I just put fabric under the border exposing the amounts I'm interested in. Hope this helps.

Is there any way you could post a pic?

Just make it as wide as you need it to be.

I agree with Ariannaquilts - experiment with a couple of different widths for the inner border and see what looks best to you. Just lay them out - you don't need to sew anything at this stage. You are aiming for a king size quilt so keep that in mind.

If it is pure white, that will catch your eye and pull your eye to it. I'd like to see a pic. Are you thinking of the fiberache?? series of numbers?
