Fun! Nothing better than having the essentials stockpiled... I buy rolls of batting and bolts of muslin and next will be background fabrics for me.

I inherited a huge amount of scraps of whites and creams. A good sized bin of it. This lady must have purchased her neutrals one quilt at a time. It's almost impossible to find two sets of scraps that are identical. So I can see where buying them as bolts would be very helpful.

I do the same and it is such a bold step but one that will reward you often when you don't need to run to the store for backing.

I just bought 6 bolts of 60" wide PFD fabric for dying, have already used 2 bolts, so when I am dying I use a couple of bolts a month. also get my batting by the roll.
