I am making my first bow tuck purse and I'm confused! What is the purpose of tracing the square template in the corners of the bag?
I've read the directions several times and maybe I'm just missing it but.....

    Ahhh! Thank you!
I read in the directions that I needed to "box" the bottom, but didn't see the connection to the squares!

I'm going to be making this pattern soon, have you had anything that has been confusing besides this issue? I just need to pick up the fusible fleece! :)

I found the instructions to be pretty easy. You may want to measure the straps and be sure you're happy with the length. I made mine longer, which did require an extra strip of fabric. I also wish I used a magnetic clasp rather than the button/loop.

That was the only thing that confuzzled me! And I already know how to "box" the bottom of a bag so I would have been able to work around it - it was just driving me nuts that I couldn't figure out the reason to draw the squares!!

The pattern is by QuiltsIllustrated. You can buy it directly from the company, or do a google search and find it in many online shops.
