Sounds as if you needed a break and the machine was tired.

It was just your machine telling you that you need to take a break

That sounds like something I would do. Sometimes you just have to walk away from a project and come back later to find the solution. I am so glad your solution didn't cost you anything.

I had a similar incident with my iron. Just wouldn't heat up. Got up the next day, bought a new iron. The new iron wouldn't work either! Whoops, apparently I fried the extension cord I was using. So both irons work, but hubby got me a new heavy duty extension cord so I don't burn the house down.

Too funny! Glad you discovered the real problem quickly. The break was good for you anyway.
