I am from Canada and we are already paying $16. to$20. a meter (which is 39.2 inches). I am lucky, I live 20 min from the border at N.Falls and slip across very often. Anyone knowing some interesting shops in that part of N.Y state I would love to hear about them.

The best fabic stores price-wise and quality in Philadelphia are:

    Gafney's - 5401 Germantown Ave. , Philadelphia 19144

South Street around 4th has about ten shops with amazing stuff. There is one in particular that has Timeless Trasure and Debby Mumm and Robert Kauffman and none higer than $5.00. I go in and never pay attention to the name of the store. Duh!!! I will visit there this week and get bsck to you.

Personally I think if they dropped the price, advertized their lower price, they would sell more and make more. Less per yard, but more in the long run. They said the price of cotton is going up and thats why the prices are going up. Some kind of crop problem with the cotton. Maybe they will come back down when the cotton is settled. We can hope.
I think this will be perfect for forcing me to continue to work down my stash. Maybe by that time, those cotton prices will come back down.
