Those wire contraptions that we use in the summer for growing tomato vines - well when turned upside down look like Christmas trees. Could you wrap them in quilts or just pieces of different fabrics to look like quilts - add some lights. Just throwing it out there!

That expression of when you are wrapped in a quilt, you are surrounded by love, came to my mind. It would be awesome to see a float with a dozen quilts hanging all over.
