I am a 17 year breast cancer SURVIVOR and I am still getting pink ribbon things from friends and family. I am sorry, but I do not want to be reminded every minute of every day of that ordeal that I went through. A friend owned a flower/gift shop and about twice a year she would send me a box of pink ribboned things that I never did use. Thankfully, she retired so don't get that box full anymore.

In fact, I got pretty tired of all the pink ribbon gifts I received: earrings, hats, mugs, tee shirts etc. So before you go to all that work, be sure the person you are gifting it to wants a pink ribbon quilt. I made my own "survivor" quilt of brightly colored pinwheels and used a border of birds that included all the pinwheel colors. I even made a matching pillowcase for my many afternoon naps - that after over a year I still need!
