oh my goodness. In a similar freak accident my significant other managed to ram a metal splinter from a friend's stool through his nail and it got stuck in the bone. A surgeon had to remove part of the nail to get the brittle piece of metal out that was stuck in his bone! ![Shock](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/shock.png)
Luckily needles are stronger and your's came out all in one piece the first try!

Oh, wow, so sorry! I have done everything from cutting the side of my finger off, to dropping a portable on my big toe, but - thank heavens - I have never gotten a needle in my finger. Hope you are back to quilting quickly.
