Default Brother HE-1 Computerized Embroidery Machine

Just purchased the above mentioned embroidery machine. Have never used any embroidery machine before and would like my fellow Members input - pros and cons. Anything that will help me make this step into the embroidery world of quilting. Thank you.

Hope you bought it from a dealer so you will have lessons and support. My best friend is trying to learn how to run her machine and she is have many difficulties.

I agree with ManicQuilter. Guide classes are so important with any of the computerized machines. I've had 2 Berninas with all the bells and whistles and the embroidery unit. I'd never have learned a lot of the features if I hadn't taken a guide class. Contact a dealer near you. Even if you didn't buy from them, some will let you pay a small fee and take their guide class.

Brother embroidery machines are easy to use. There are plenty of YouTube videos to watch.

RNK distributing has lots of tutorials, a stabilizing book that you can download, etc. The do alot with floriani and Jenny Haskins. There are tons of you tube videos out there including on Brother's website. I know that here our local sew n vac does alot of things with Brother and a lot of other sew n vac companies do too. I agree, check with where you bought it for free classes and just get in there and try. Start small and go for there. I do all the events that come to town, from Floriani to Anita Goodesigns to John Deer, most use some sort of Brother machines but no matter what the emb machine you benefit from it. I did and I have a top of line Viking. Good luck and feel free to ask questions.

Glad I could help Yolanda. If ever I can help I'm happy to do it. It can be intimidating.
