What freemotion foot do you the most? Do you use the default settings? If you change stitch length etc. from default, what do you change them to?

I use the open toe foot, and I never changed the settings on my espire(predecessor to your machine), brother tension for FMQ is just fine one regular settings you just have to watch the speed of your hands and that will determine your stitch length. The only thing I would adjust is presser foot height depending on the loft of your sandwich

On my brother I don't change any settings. Just drop the feed dogs and turn up the speed. I use the closed foot the most. Sometimes it depends on the type of thread.
