I love mine, had it about two months, I love the way it cuts fabric and the way it cuts paper, haven't tried the blocks yet but going to do that soon, also the online conversion/ editing software is great... I've downloaded images of the internet and cut them... Tested a bunch of different fusables webs with fabric, and am working on a caning in an appliqué pattern I want to cut...

milly i believe the difference in price is $100. you can scan a pattern from anywhere. i think the less expensive one is okay. save the hundred dollars on the mats you will need. i just want to stipulate that the fabric should be spray starched and crisp to get better results.good luck i'm sure you'll like it. make sure you use it in a reasonable amount of time and if you dont like it, just bring it back.

    Hi All
My wife and I are visiting your lovely country in September/October this year. My wife is highly impressed with the Brother ScanNcut machine which has just gone on sale in the UK at a vastly inflated price compared to the US currently around the equivalent of $720. Hence she would like to buy when we visit. We will be visiting New York (2 days) and Boston (1 day) as part of our cruise. We would appreciate it greatly if anyone could put us in touch with any easily accessible retailers of this machine in these cities. Many thanks in advance.

it wasnt too easy. i think the best bet is if you are staying w/people in the usa order thru amazon and have it shipped to their address. there is free shipping w/this product. otherwise, this is what i came up w/. you should call them 1st and ask them if they have it and to put it aside. i work on long island in a fabric shop. we have the item. and we can ship it to you in ny if you want. good luck

OK I just got mine and purchased it for applique. One of the ladies at the Sit N Sew I go to purchased one and has cut our all of her appliques for several Baltimore albums. My small group is going to work on Zoo It and we will be unpacking it and looking/playing with it tomorrow. Will let you know if we have success!

Bought mine last week. So far so good, but there has been a learning curve. I'm getting the hang of it now. I have cut vinyl and fabric with it and like it for both. I will highly recommend this to a quilting friend of mine that struggles with neck pain and cannot use a rotary cutter. She scissor cuts everything for every quilt.
