I bought a generic low shank foot on Ebay for my brother machine. With shipping it cost $20.

Will this foot work with the Brother SE400? The operation manual says the Open Toe Quilting foot is the SA187. I am also looking for the binding foot and I found that one to be the SA109. I found them both on Amazon but also found them on SewVacDirect.com and they are less expensive. I think that's the direction I'm going. Thanks!

I had a generic one on my Brother SE 400 but it broke. When I went to replace it I was told that the generic won't let you set your zig-zag completely wide. The Brother one has a wider needle opening. I think I paid about $50 3 or 4 years ago.
