Well, you could go on line and search for a local dealer, or contact Corp directly...that would be my path of inquiry.

Do you have a particular Brother machine in mind?? I just did a Google search and these machines came up.

I use what are called enders when I piece so no need for a thread cutter.

    check their website.

any machine that includes in-hoop embroidery functions will have "the scissors button."
"regular" sewing/quilting machine models with that feature [seem to] start at the PC420PRW and get fancier/more expensive from there.
(note: i love my PC420PRW. i use it for classes and travel. tons of features packed in for a reasonable price.)

I almost gave up trying to find a simple portable machine that had a auto thread cutter and not a lot of fancy stitches. (all of the machines that do embroidery will have the cutter) I found The Brother PRW 420. It's great if you want a lot of decorative stitches but all I wanted was a simple portable that I could take to classes for paper piecing that had the cutter. At one class a member had what I had been searching for. It is the Brother 420PC. Not many fancy stitches, portable, with auto thread cutter. Now finding that machine was the problem. I found a new one on Ebay for $250. Seems the 420 PC became the 420PRW with lots more added features. Here is a description on the Brother page, (doesn't show up in the search there at all)

    PC 420 http://www.brother-usa.com/Homesewin...roductID=PC420

    420 PRW 420 http://www.brother-usa.com/Homesewin...uctID=PC420PRW

I asked many Brother dealers about the 420PC, they all said I was mistaken. LOL

I have the brother Innovis-is NX570Q. It has a cutter on it. Not top an embroidery machine or top of the line. But it is all that I want or need in a sewing machine

If you look up the specs under their models online it will tell you if there is a thread cutter. Also there are quite a few brother groups on facebook. Are you looking at a particular model?

I'm pretty sure it has a cutter if it is an embroidery machine to cut the jump stitches. I think all the models usually within that price range do.
