"Thangles" are pre-cut strips of paper that are marked with sewing and cutting lines for making 1/2 square triangles. Various quilting supply places sell them. I started writing a long explanation about how they work and then decided to check their website. They do a much better job than I do and they also have a video tutorial, so check there for a demonstration. I even learned how to do 1/4 square triangles too when I watched it. The biggest advantage to using them, besides the accuracy, is that you cut all your fabric strips the same width for squares, and all your triangles. No more 7/8th rule. Go to www.thangles.com and see for youself! (No, I don't work for the company. I'm just a satisfied customer.)

Martha, your quilt is awesome! I don't even KNOW how to hand quilt! Beautiful! just a note on Thangles etc.............I use Brenda Hennings Triangulations CD and if you make a lot of HST and QST you may save money by not buying thangles papers. Just a thought. http://www.softexpressions.com/softw...angulation.php

Absolutely gorgeous quilt. Love the pattern, the colors, the fabrics, the quilting - - everything. Now I want to make this one, too. Too little time, too many options. Can you tell me the finished size of the Buggy Wheel blocks?

    Gorgeous quilt!

I'm a Triangulations fan... About $20 for the CD, but then you can print any size triangle needed (in 1/16th" increments). I print them onto $1 store doodle pads, which tear away easily.

Congratulation. I love the pattern but was afraid to do the whole quilt so I just did two pillows.

Beautiful hand quilting. I like the outside border quilting. Everything about it is beautiful. Do you quilt in a frame, hoop, etc? How long did it take you to quilt it?
