    I agree withe bearisgray, if for a wall hanging, yes. to be used as a quilt, probably not. But she could always add the buttons for the judging then remove them if used as a quilt...

    The butterfly buttons would make it a happy quilt - the colors already do that but it doesn't hurt to make it happier .......
