When I was taking my first quilting class, a lady came in who was making a DWR (double wedding ring) for her daughter's wedding as her first quilt. Now that is courageous.

I look at it this way, it will have to be done at some point in time, therefore there is no better time to learn than the present!

My first real quilt was also a double wedding ring!!!!
But the very very first "quilt" I made was just squares that I sewed together out of the leftover fabric I had from making him shirts.

In total I have made 15 Double wedding ring quilts. Will I ever do another?? NO WAY NOT ON YOUR LIFE.
