    I'm not sure but this looks like BIRDS IN THE AIR

    Terrific site, by the way, since I had never seen it, but I do believe you NAILED it! ... Do I hear applause for Mickey???

    I'll applaud for Mickey, but it's not Birds in the Air. Sorry. The block is called Northwind. It looks like this.


    Put four together, and it looks like this.

    That is why I kept seeing flying geese and all sorts of other blocks if I tilted my head one way or the other!

    thanks ghost rider. I knew it didn't look quite right. Is this also a variation of Hunters's Star?

    I don't think so, but then, I have just finished the second quilt from a one day online mystery and they called THAT a hunter's star, and it sure doesn't look like the one at quilters cache.
    sometimes, many names get put on one block, and sometimes one name gets put on many blocks, I guess <g> Again .... are we STILL having fun??? LOL

    That one is called Ocean Waves, so Roben is right. It looks like it's done in various batiks. Good luck on your project, your daughter is very lucky.

    I think it is the Corn and beans. If you look at the Triangle in the middle of the top it is bigger than that of the Ocean waves pattern.
