Can anyone be This organized?

Back in the 60s and 70s when I was mostly sewing for the kids and me I kept a small notebook with a swatch and how much I had of each fabric. Then I didn't sew for a number of years but kept buying fabric and tossing it in my sewing room. Didn't log in anything. When I decided to start quilting I had an overgrown stash stacked in a room that didn't even have room for a path. No idea where it came from or where it is going but I have it and can shop there whenever I want. Someday it will all be folded and on shelves making shopping so much easier. Just can't imagine why I still can't find my cutting table. The stash just keeps on growing! Just can't seem to sew fast enough to keep the new piecesfrom growing as the come into the room! Total disorganization.

Not that organized.....however, I do keep receipts, which helped me tremendously when I ran out of fabric for the latest quilt I made.
I knew I bought it at Jo-Ann's but had no idea of the manufacturer or the name. I identified it on the receipt through knowing about how much yardage I'd bought. A very helpful clerk at my local Jo-Ann's called another store with that information and I went to the other store--30 miles away--and bought all they had left on the bolt.
