I've also used 505 and Sullivan's. I always iron my quilt sandwich front and back after spray basting. It sets the glue and gives you an opportunity to smooth out possible wrinkles from the basting process if you didn't get it 100%. Then I quilt right after. Never had any sticky issues on my needle.

Ok, This was a needless worry. All tackiness was gone the next day. Yeah!!!!! So now I am using the adhesive with abandon. I am making a stitch and flip quilt, because I am in a hurry for a baby quilt, and I am spraying after each row. This technique is being used to replace ironing the flipped seam because, I dont want to iron the batting. It is also holding the quilt in place while I move it around the room from the cutting/layout table to the sewing machine and back again. Thanks for all ya'll's help.

I use Sullivan's spray and stitch right after if I want to, but more often I have some marking to do, so I guess it's "drying" while I'm doing that. Never had a stickiness problem with either had or machine quilting.

I use a couple different brands from Joann's. I found that I need to wait 1 day before quilting to let it dry. I did not get the needle sticky..just had horrible stitches and thread breaking. Not a problem at all if I wait until next day.
