Can I use stabilizer in place of fusible interfacing?
I am making a play mat that goes with a stuffed princess doll set. It calls for fusible interfacing. I have some pellin 809 decor bond backing. Can I use that in place of the fusible interfacing? The play mat folds up with ties to close it.

I used that same product this afternoon for some straps. I like how it can be folded and creased. The description says it has extra crispness.
Is this play mat a machine embroidery design?
PS to add: Try a sample with the pieces and see if you like how they work together.
