Yes, the software says that I can do that...I haven't ever done it...but I'm supposed to be able to

I would think the "mottled" look would depend on the actual fabrics that you select. I just picked something from the blue library that was fairly dark and had a solid blue to match it. I was thinking that there are lots of ways you could do it...you could mix in lots of oranges with different levels of white in it to make it flow better. You could also mix in an orange with the blue in it on the outside to make it really "flow" into the tri section. That would look cool too! I did the solid blue in the tri's because it really looked mottley in the tris.

Its a good idea though...a fun one. Did you pre order EQ7? I got my shipping notice yesterday, so if you did it won't take it long to come in.

That is true, it totally does depend on the fabric I choose. I think I will try and get my oranges together first and then build from there, so I can find a dark blue that doesn't compete. I LOVE the idea of using the blue and orange towards the edges to bring in the tri's .... will have to try that one.

Unfortunately I have not been able to justify the cost of the full EQ system to hubby. Maybe now that 7 is out, I can talk him into 6 since it will be a bit cheaper now. I am only getting the DJ because I have a free $25 GC to Amazon LOL *sigh* paying off bills, feels good, but it really takes a toll on my short term quilting goals

Oh...I see. I will be still using the reg numbers of my 6 so I can use the 7 upgrade. I started with 5 that I bought on ebay for $35.00, so I do know where you're coming from
