    Hi Gale:

Yes, you can hand quilt minkee. However, it does stretch during the process, and it stretches a great deal. A friend of mine warned me about it, thank goodness. On her advice I pinned very well in the middle of the quilt (about a foot and a half square), and only a few around the outer parts. When I finished that well pinned square, I repinned a section beside where I had already quilted, and adjusted whatever pins I needed to (that's why I said pin sparingly around the section to be be quilted). I did that over and over again, until it was done. Doing it this way I had no puckers.

It was a square baby quilt and my estimate of stretch was 1 1/2 to 2 inches, so it was worth doing it that way.

    Hope this helps.
