    One additional note on cotton batting with scrim, particularly for wall quilts or art quilters: If you intend to fuse your fabric, either the top or the backing, directly to the batting, fuse it to the side without the scrim. That would be what they refer to as the right side (above). If you fuse to the scrim side, the fabric puckers, looks quite nasty, and can't really be fixed. If in doubt, try a small sample first.
