Can you help identify fabric era?
My neighbor has a quilt top that she asked me to help in getting it finished to be an everyday throw. I am helping with the backing and then taking to my LAQ. But I want to offer her options on backing. I am sure some of you will know much more than I do on finishing up this top that one of her grandmothers never finished. Thanks. I look forward to seeing what you say.

I'm going to go with "late 1930's".
The colors would most likely have been found in the 1930's. 40's fabrics have more red, yellow & blue in them and the white background would have been slightly brighter.
The prints on the first two are traditional 1930's shapes -- the first one could be from the early-mid 30's. The second one would have been closer to the 40's with it's less defined shape. What is throwing me is the shape of the third one. Spiky shapes weren't typically found in the 30's (or the 40's for that matter, where shapes were less defined). The Art Deco movement was all about round edges, even in architecture and furniture design. So it wouldn't have been a typical fabric for the time, but based on the colors & the other two fabrics, I still think late 30's (or at least pre-War).

I check my Dating Fabrics a Color quite 1800-1960. And found that the Multi-purple print said 1920-1935 and the green print 1925-1935 so I would guess mid 30's Please post finished quilt photo
