I'm sick and tired of paying 16 dollars a can for the 505 spray... the small can.
I've heard you can get it a lot cheaper if you order it online, so I was wondering where you buy it and how much it costs.

I've only ever seen a big can one time and I think it was 28 dollars in the store  I didn't buy it.
However, I have seen some small cans at as little as 8 dollars a can in a sewing machine store, so I can't understand how the other stores can justify charging 16-17?
I think I saw it once at 13 at Wal-Mart, but I haven't seen any since then.

Also, if you can suggest another brand which may be cheaper and can also be ordered online, I would appreciate it. I'm not so much concerned about yellowing of fabrics, since it usually only takes me a day or two to quilt, and the quilt gets thrown in the wash right after.

Someone posted, I think it was last week, that they use Aqua Net hairspray instead. I haven't tried it yet, but she swears it is made of the same ingredients. We can get it on sale here for $1.00 a can.

I've heard of that before too, but I'm not sure if we could use just any hair spray?
I haven't seen the actual Aqua Net in many many years...

I'm not Canadian (close though), but I have a good friend in ON who recently discovered that her local commercial embroidery shop uses 505 in the 340g size. They sold her one for $20. Might want to check out that route.
