Cancer Ribbon Quilt

My sister made a quilt for my mother while she was battling breast cancer. My sister made up the pattern. The quilt was made with squares and half square triangles using tone on tone pink and white fabrics. It is one of my favorite pink ribbon quilts ever. I think she should submit it to a quilting magazine. The quilt has never been entered into any shows etc. I just think the pattern is wonderful and easy. I can see others using this idea. My mother proudly has it hanging in her house.
Where does one call/write/email to do this? Anyone ever have their quilt/pattern featured in a magazine? Or typed it up to sell? Thanks for all ideas/suggestions.
(I'll try to post a picture)

Many years ago when Miniature Quilts was still around, I just wrote them a letter & enclosed pictures & a few months later the pictures where published in the magazine, SO I WOULD IMAGINE it might happen the same way with patterns that you would like to share. They would probably contact you & have you sign a contract stating it was original etc.
Check out some of the magazine sites & if there's a contact us spot; go for it! Maybe even the fabric sites would be interested as alot of them post free patterns on their sites.
