    I like the idea of taking out the light blue, go risky and leave the purple in. Would love to see the finished quilt.

    Love that strip! I'd only use it though if I was sure there's enough. It would look really great for the binding.

    Looks great to me. I love the combination. If you love it use it. You will love the quilt too! Just figure out how to balance the use of those 30". Somehow I think you already know!

    Out on a limb here, i think the purple and the the stripe look good with all the rest. The stripe could be sashing between the tonel blocks with the floral border...
    or.. make stripe corner blocks in the purple sashing between the tonel blocks with the floral border.

    You don't mention if you are doing block to block or using setting blocks, etc. Not that it matters, but to me the strip might look great as just a narrow, like 1" finished, before you put on the floral border. That way it would really stand out, and would set off the quilt. It sounds like you really like the strip and personally I think it would make the quilt really sharp. Just a thought. I really like the combination of fabrics which ever way you do it. :thumbup:
