    Beautiful quilt. If you are within the quidelines of the batting quilting requirements, it is stunning as it is.

    I think like you do also. I can appreciate the beauty of the quilting and the talent that goes into it but sometimes for me it overpowers the quilt top. I'm always thinking all that quilting would shine on a whole cloth quilt with no piecework to interfere.

    I like it just the way it is. Of course, since you're not in a rush, you could just let it "rest" somewhere , and you peek at it with fresh eyes a couple times a day for the next few days to see if your feelings change. Personally I like "fluffier" quilts that happen with less dense quilting. I think your gut will tell you after your eyes study it a day or two longer.
