I just want to clarify, when I said "use a bigger needle" I meant go from a 12 to a 14 or even 16, not just a bigger eye on the needle.
If you still can't get it to work, it might be out of time and may need to go to in for repair and a spa day.

Yes....I did try both bigger eye and bigger needle, although I did not try a #16.
I am a bit frustrated with the whole thing because I've spent so much time trying 'fixes' and nothing works. I know it's not really wasted time but it feels that way when a solution isn't found. I've only used this machine for a short time but I have quilted many tops with it. It was the machine that made me 'like' quilting. I can't say 'love' because the actual quilting is still my least favorite part of the process but, once I got my PQ1500, I didn't keep putting off the quilting.
Thanks for the help.

I've found that when I'm quilting, I need a 16 or 18. Try that and see how it works.
There are people who freak out about using that size needle, because they don't like that it makes such big holes in the quilt. The quilt will be just fine after you wash it. If you are not planning on washing it, just spritz it with water, give it a couple of gentle shakes, and let it dry. The holes will close back up.
