Can't keep a secret and also need advice
#41
My precious, sweet grandaughter is now 2 months old. My DD & SIL also chose not to know the sex, so I made her 5 'generic' quilts to get them started. I also bought them a newborn size GIRL outfit and BOY outfit to take baby home from the hospital - not your typical green or yellow! This year I will be making a special quilt just for her.
Congratulations! The joy is just beginning.

Congratulaions on such fantastic news..I love babies!...to satisfy your need to make a baby quilt for now and since they don't want to know the sex of the baby do one in pastels that is unisex...yellows greens...and I think pinwheels make a really cute baby quilt...Congrats again and we wont tell anyone...wink

Congrats - what a wonderful Christmas surprise! I vote for starting some receiving blankets now. The store bought ones are never really big enough! And you cannot possibly have too many! The warm wishes pattern makes a very cute baby quilt! Have fun!

How exciting! Congratulations to all of you. It sounds like you have some good ideas for the quilts you want to make. A couple I have made for friends have featured baby animals and have been well received. Any neutral baby print would work. I am currently working on one that is an Irish chain with baby jungle animals.
Have fun!
