How does one make scrappy blocks like that? Is there a pattern?
How do the odd pieces all fit to make a block?

I love it. I made one similar last year without the stripping. I love the green. You were lucky, our Joann's will only honor one coupon and if it is on sale, they won't take it at all. Your quilt is wonderful.

I love your crumb blocks and they look great on the green. I have that same green stripe in my stash, but I am sure I didn't get the deal you received at JoAnns. I know what you mean about not being able to quit sewing up scraps. I just wanted to sew the other day and started some string blocks with all my strips, and I am still sewing them up 28 blocks later. They are so addicting. Can't wait to see your finished quilt.

Did not know what to do with small left over pieces of fabrics! Wow, you showed me a way to use them. Loving your quilt top!

You picked the perfect color to make the blocks pop. Thanks for letting us know what you chose.

Can you explain how you made the blocks? Thanks.

For those that asked...I made the blocks by just simply sewing scraps together haphazardly in large strips or squares then cut out 6.5 inch blocks. Then I took the left overs from each cutting and sewed those together or with other odd scraps and cut more blocks. The only thing I tried to do was not to have the same color or pattern in the same block. I have 48 blocks now and am still working on more. I plan to make a large quilt for a full size bed as the bed cover and then matching curtains, pillows and a wall-hanging to tie in together for one of our spare bedrooms. I love all the feed back that has been given. Thanks!
