I always use the Klutz glove that I purchased from Fons & Porter. It was a little pricey BUT worth every penny if it prevents me from the dreaded slice from the rotary cutter.

Hope you feel better. It happened to me 3 weeks ago. Didn't go to clinic but within a split second I put lots of pressure on my left index finger knuckle and then went to find the bandages. It finally looks normal. Hey but that's a lesson well learned. Like getting your first reck in a car, you're more cautious the next time.

Ouch!! I've been there and done that, and left no blood on the quilt. You are a member of the flat finger group now!

Ouch! I was cutting fabric yesterday thinking about how easy it would be to have an accident like that. When I was first learning to make torch beads I dropped my tool, bent over to pic it up and in the process put my left thumb right in the way of the torches flame....yes sirreee, hand in air running to sink for cold water! I can relate to your story...I try hard to be mindful but there are times!

I did that a few months ago. I probably should have had stitches but didn't. I didn't want to waste time in the ER! I almost had the machine needle go through my finger yesterday when I was FMQ! It got the tip of my glove!

Yep, I did the same thing! Then, I went and bought the Klutz glove from Fons and Porter. I figure the glove is a lot less expensive than a emergency room visit! Now, if I had just bought the Klutz glove before I cut myself! Sometimes I just have to learn the hard way! Now when I rotary cut, before I pick up the rotary cutter, I put the Klutz glove on. Just like before I drive,I put my seat belt on. Safety first!
