People have mentioned that there is a Carol Doaks book out that would be perfect for me to learn paper piecing with. Does anyone know exactly which book this is so I can purchase the correct one? I do so want to learn paper piecing and the tuts I've seen so far just don't cut it.

Also, anyone know a good way for me to learn how to do flying geese? Dummy me needs step by step directions ... down to what size to cut the blocks ... to learn how.

Thanks for all your help ahead of time.

Here is a link to the method I use for Flying Geese: http://www.patchpieces.com/files/flyinggeese.pdf

I always have to figure out the math depending on what size block I'm after. The link above gives you the formula to figure it out.

There is also a dvd on ebay, but you have to go to the uk ebay site. The dvd is wonderful. I paid $5 total, it is brand new and works on all DVD. People warned me that it might not work, it works fine. I will see if I can find the link. I have order 4 of them for friend and Stummel, who I am mentoring order one too.

You might want to check out your library. I get a lot of references from there and if I really, really like them, I go buy my own. Carol Doak seems to explain the process so well that it's easy.

I think all of Carol Doak's paper piecing book have good instructions. Some of her books are out of print now. I still have a couple that I am selling.
