Several years ago I got a FW that didn't have a case. That was before all kinds of machine cases were available.
So went to the Goodwill Store and bought a bowling ball bag. Took the metal rack out of it. The FW fits perfectly and is easy to carry and doesn't take up as much space as the rectangular one.

What a good idea! I just went to a local quilt show and there was a couple there selling some featherweights and some separate bags to use without the original case. They came in black or red and had handles and a shoulder strap. But they were $55.00!!! Bet the bowling bag was a much better buy.

Here are some photos of the case I use for my Featherweights. It was a salemens case for selling TIME magazine. They have pockets in the end and the Featherweight fits in it perfect. I Embroidered on a piece of the stiff felt and glued it over the TIME on the case. I have sold several of these and I find them all at the thrifts stores. They are getting a little harder to find. I have only three of them left.

I saw some cases at the restore that had stereo equipment in them and were padded with the eggshell stuff. really excited me at first because they looked just like a featherweight case. bet they would work well also.
