    Thanks for your comments.....be sure and post a photo of the "jeans pockets" advent calendar. I have done several projects using the old denim jeans....purses and rag quilts. A good source for the old jeans is the thrift store. There is one by us that has a "bag" day.....fill a large garbage bag with anything you want for $1. What a deal! I always stock up on the jeans for future projects.

    I have done cathedral window quilting on several small projects. I have met Arlene Gray aka cathedral quilting lady, and she is usually at quilt shows and has a wonderful tape and it's step by step. The website is www.godscountryfarm.com/quilting/. It is well worth the investment.

    Go to Shelly Swanland's web site for patterns & books on Cathedral WIndows. She has the traditional pattern + many variations that she has made.
    Maybe check her teaching schedule to see if she might be coming in your area.
