I have an adjustable sewing chair, quite like an office chair. I wanted a cheap new office chair for my sewing room. My husband researched and bought me a great chair with lumbar support. Sure beats the little old wooden sewing chair I've used for years, and now I can roll to the ironing board, and back to the machine.

This is almost the same as my chair, except mine is cloth. I wouldn't trade it! I believe we bought it at a local office store. The arms don't bother me at all and I love that I can adjust the height to fit whatever table I'm at.

I bought a used office chair about 20 years ago. It looks like it was made in the 60s. The aluminum base is massive and we did have to change the wheels from those old tiny brass ones. It's green perforated leather, and in all this time, the leather shows no wear, rips, discoloration or anything. The padding is still comfortable. Our daughter also used it for haircutting, coloring and perms. We've bought newer chairs which broke after 5 years. This thing is amazing.
