I have been appointed chairperson for our local guild for our Quilt Challenge committee. I need ideas, please! I am interested in ideas about using 9 patch or double nine patch blocks. Can anyone help me?

What about Puss in the Cornor, treasure chest/jacknife, Big T?

I've got a book Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns by Barbara Brackman and it has the blocks broken down by block type, (i.e., 4P, equal 9P , unequal 9P, etc.). Check to see if your library has it. Its a wonderful resource. :-D

How about using a piece of fabric that everyone must include somewhere in theie quilt. Make it a really ugly one too. Or come up with a theme, song title, or movie title. Then the quilter must make a quilt in their version of the theme.
