I try to keep a piece of hand work ready to carry wherever I go or have a few minutes to just sit. That is a wonderful on to work on.

Me, too - have done them for years and they are always in need for one thing or other. Crochet.

Think SparkMonkey and I are clones of each other. Maybe I'm not as strange as I think I am.
Small doable projects, mostly handwork, applique, knitting socks and they need to be useful.

I used to cross stitch, make doilies from crochet but now I'm working on a hand stitched hexagon quilt. I've been working on it for 2 years. I'm taking a class now with Mimi Dietrich to learn applique. I'll always have something to carry along no matter where I'm going or what I'm doing. I love it!

I either crochet or embroider quilt blocks for a future quilt. Jack Dempsey company has lots of them to embroider.

Sometimes I hand quilt table runners and place mats, or crochet wash cloths, a project with a short work time, and a usable finished piece. Seems to settle me, somehow. piecefully, the old one
