    Yes it is a problem when the machine is being tuned up. I missed mine, swore I would get a second machine just to sew but never was able to get around to it. You sure do miss them while they are gone, I did.

    Time for a second machine! I bought a used Bernina just for occasions like this--so worth it!

    I so agree. You don't have to spend tons on your second machine, just make sure it works so you don't have to tinker with it or have it repaired. A basic straight/zig zag is probably all that's really needed most of the time.
