I made a chenille and flannel baby quilt from a pattern book, but, it is all half square triangles, half flannel, half chenille, with a flannel border, backing and I used flannel as the batting. It came out great and the baby is now 2 and sleeps with it every night. Maybe there is sashing involved in yours? And maybe you could leave some of the fabric out, or piece it with something else? BUT, it was a huge mess to sew and I had to clean out a ton of stuff from the bobbin case, so if you haven't sewn with chenille yet, just get ready!!!!!

Is the picture with your e-mail what the baby quilt looks like? That is beautiful! I thought the chenille might be hard to work with because just laying it out drips fuzz everywhere! I really like what you did and think that would work for me. Thank you!
