LOVE them! I have so many happy memories from childhood and they are part of that.

I never liked them. I had them when small and would pull the fuzzy strings out so the spread had bald spots.

I have 1, use it in the spring because of the nice pastel colors, and it's fairly lightweight. What makes it special to me is when my kids were little they refered to it as the birthday cake bedspread since it's floral design did look like a nicely decorated birthday cake. At one time I did put it on a garage sale, but changed my mind and brought it right back in the house! Guess some day it will be passed on to one of my kids or grand kids for mor great memories.

I have a salmon one and a white one that I have bought in antique shops. I buy any I can find cheap that have bad places. They make beautiful pillows and stuffed animals. I couldn't cut up a good one but don't mind using the torn ones. The design part is usually fine. The tears are usually in the plain part.

Oh, I LOVE chenille bedspreads, especially the white ones with designs on them done in pastel colors. Had one on my bed at home when I was a teenager. Mother had a solid pink one on her bed. Beautiful!

Yep, I had one and loved it. I can just see my mother in the kitchen cooking breakfast with a blue chenille robe on. She wouldn't have any other kind.
