    She needs to first sew through a little scrap of fabric and continue on to the seam she wants to sew.

    Hopefully by now you and she have solved the problem, but if not, a little more info would be helpful. At what point does it come unthreaded?

    One of my machines does the same thing. We have to learn to pull the thread out farther.
