Well here's another spin. Someone posts. They get a lot of responses. Then they post again that the issue is resolved. And 20 more posts with more suggestions. When there is a post with lots of responses I scroll down the side to see if the original poster updated. I like to think I haven't done this but can't guarantee!!

Thanks to the hugely helpful response I recently received, I have begun checking the In Search Of area before I check anything else. It's one of the most important ways we can help each other!
In my case, I had bought fabric for what I thought would be a queen-size quilt. As it developed, tho, it became clear that I should enlarge the project and make matching quilts for 2 twin x-long beds. While I had no trouble buying additional batiks for the highlight fabrics, I discovered that Jo~Ann had discontinued the background fabric (that they'd carried forever).
After significant panic, I posted my need in the In Search Of section, and LO AND BEHOLD, another QB member offered me 1 1/2 yards of the fabric at a reasonable price! She saved my project!
I am eager to pay it forward and hope all of you will join me!

It's helpful and supportive when people respond even when they can't help. It shows they've taken the time and trouble to consider and respond. It 'a also helpful to know others have a similar response

I look at the titles of posts and respond if I can assist with a problem. A lot of times, I l may not respond but I learn something from others who respond. And, if the same thing has been said a dozen times, I usually don't add my 2 cents ... unless it relates to purchasing a new machine - then I will add my recommendation. I think hearing from users of machines helps a lot.

I check QB about twice a day in the morning and sometime in the afternoon. I always click on the what's new tab at the top of the page to only see the posts that have been on since I was last on. Or if I was only on for short time, I check further. As far as what I comment on, it depends on if I can help. Sometimes, I try if it seems like they aren't getting many responses and sometimes I only lurk.
