Over achievers, that's what you are!
My only goal for this entire year is to get my stash under control (organized) and my sewing area neat. I'm good at organizing but no good at staying organized. If only neatness didn't involve putting things away when I'm done with them.

I just this month finished mailing quilts to all of the family members up to and including my grandchildren. Now I am making a baby quilt for the new great grand son born Feb. 22nd. I am still making my clothesline bowls and they have become my emergency gifts. I have 4 projects that are in the works but I am waiting for my machine on which I do my stippling to come back home from repair work.

5-minute block
Good Morning, I noticed your post about starting quilts and asked for ideas. I saw the pattern for the 5-minute block just recently. It is so versatile, yet pretty and interesting.
I you ever run into a 'time bind,' that looks to be a quick one! I have one planned for Fall to make. Right now am trying to finish a bunch of "UFO,s".
Can't remember what site it was on, but pretty sure Missouri Star.
Good luck!

I am thinking one day at a time I make things as I do, send them as I will and this way lose all of that extra crud that comes with it.. going to be sending one quilt a month to my local quilter to have her work on things for me, love quilt top making hate quilting.. sad but honest truth. I will make a couple table runners as those are nice gifts not sure what fabrics yet but do have a close idea on one of them.. the rest.. slow and steady. At least two quilts get done by Christmas for sure and two will be birthday gifts so four quilts. This is the best I can do. You guys amaze the heck out of me!

Not thinking or Christmas 2014 yet but am planning on small gifts to make for our annual Multi-family vacation. I will make mug rugs for the women, the men will have to share with their wives. I have until the middle of July to make about 6.

So glad I'm not the only one still working on Christmas 2013! I made a top and started quilting a throw for my MIL from Dad's old shirts (He died in 2011 and she finally gave his shirts last summer). Since they were avid square dancers for many, many years, I made a pattern called "Swing Your Partner" from her book Scraps and Shirttales. Didn't get the quilting finished so need to do that before starting on 2014 work. I'm ending up taking out all the quilting I"d done (about half) because it was just puckering and poofing (sp? real word? waaay too much).
I had planned to do a scrappy back with the leftover shirt pieces, but decided to do a one-piece back from wide fabric. Now, instead of that, I'm going to make a throw from those leftover pieces for my DH! I'll have to augment with some airplane fabrics which I've already bought (including the backing). However, because I want it to be a surprise, I'll have to work on it only when he's in bed (He's an early bird so goes to bed a couple of hours before I do). I'm going to do a Sawtooth Star block for his because he's a woodworker and intersperse the airplane fabric squares throughout.
So far that's all I'm planning for Christmas, although I, like everyone else, have several others IMH projects planned!
Good luck Everyone!
