Picked up a kit for this pillowcase @ Heartlight Quilt Shop while passing through Ladysmith, WI. Usually don't buy kits but saw this fabric & knew my BF would love to sleep on this at Christmas (being single). So got the kit & it went together go quick. Think I'll whip up more cases for Christmas.

Here are some ideas for table toppers/place mats. Some are made using the French braid technique from the book French Braid Quilts by Jane Hardy Miller. (They are pinned to the back of my sofa only to have their picture taken--it's not really how I use them.)

I'm slow this morning. I read BF as Boy Friend and couldn't figure out why you gave him those studs.

    I know, BEST FRIEND! LOL

You have all inspired me to get started early this year! I've just about finished my first gifts, a tablerunner and a matching tree skirt. Decided to start early this year and now I don't feel as stressed. Thank you all! You have given me some great ideas!

I love that idea, the trash bags. I was just thinking about that myself (to make it with my dh's fav sport team fabric).

This blog is great. I also like her idea to make cinnamon candle holders, perfect hostess gift for the holidays that is cheap, cheap, cheap, but looks expensive. Look under her Tutorials section .
