I hate to birng this up but has anyone started on Christmas yet? Any gift ideas say that can be made out of the scraps you already have and have to spend the least amout? Pot holders, aprons, small lap quilts, table cloths? I hate to bring up that C word. Last minute frenzy always works for me.

I start thinking/shopping Christmas in July. It helps me get through the summer heat here in Texas.

I do Christmas things all year around. Table toppers and runners are always a nice item to receive or give.

I am always thinking about my Christmas gifts! I kind of feel like I have exhausted all my ideas with my friends and neighbors. I have done table runners, candle mats, door hangings, tissue holders, ornaments, snowman pillows..etc...
This year at the Lancaster Quilt show I found a pattern for a Card Holder. It is so great, it hangs with a ribbon and has paper pieced ornaments along the front. It also includes a pattern for the ornament table runner. So, for me this is going to be it. I have not made card holders before, and that is usually my goal, to find something I have not done yet.
Hopefully it will be fun and easy and I won't mind making several.

    Good Luck...Laura

Haven't started yet but grandaughters have requested tree skirts this year. I need to get started right now so they will be ready for Christmas.

I have found that there numerous small things you can make with scraps. Stocking Stuffers. Eyeglass/sunglass cases, cosmetic bags, curling iron holders. I found a really cute hand sewing pin holder. It looks like a flower then folds up to a small triangle. I also found a tutorial on a really cute note pad holder.
Search the internet. You can find all sorts of small projects to use up your scraps.

I bought every Christmas fabric I would need when all the sales were on at 50% off at the LQS and I'm ready to start anytime. Gotta get a little something done in the garden first.
