    Default Christmas Ornament Party

Does anyone know where I can get a pattern online for a Quilted Christmas ornament to sew? We have limited resources - 1 fabric store. Most people who attend bring expensive ornaments from the U.S., but I'd rather make something. I was thinking maybe a set of 6 stars or I am open to suggestions.

I would just draw or google star and use that for a pattern. Make 2 for each ornament, sew together with some stuffing and then decorate with glitter glue or beads. I will keep watching this thread for more ideas.

I made a tiny quilt, about 4 inches square, just using quilt ideas and doing only one block and then made three layers, put in a little quilting and actually bound it. I love it. The hanger is a little ribbon bow and loop that I sewed on one corner.

It would be great to use the words in selvedges of fabric and do a quilt as you go strippy block. Use a Christmas fabric on the back and it would be reversible. I did a fancy cross stitched ornament once and used a Xmas tree fabric on the back and one person liked the back the best.

Google free quilt patterns and you will get more than anyone could ever use.

What about using Modge Podge - you can use a foam ball and modge podge fabric to it. Nice pretty ribbon for the hook.

How about a folded fabric ornament. They are easy, no sewing and they turn out looking like an expensive ornament. They are a little time consuming. Let me see if I can find a tutorial or instructions.

Thanks for all the ideas! Someone already does the folded fabric on foam balls to sell here, but I saw the stuffed Christmas trees, and have an idea for a stuffed star that's smaller and four sided. Think I can do a couple of those with some sparkly fabric. Great ideas.
