    Default Christmas panel suggestions

    Bought this Christmas panel.....have not made a quilt with a panel.....on my list of quilts to make....have these fabrics on hand.....suggestions for a border or maybe something else in fabric choices!

    One thing I would do is use a few solid or small prints that read as solids between the larger prints. A small 1 inch border that would measure out as 1/2 inch helps to give a framed effect.

    I agree with this and would probably go with a darker color

    IMO the fabric at the bottom right doesn't look right. The other two might work - as second border. I agree with the above comments that you need a small solid border. Maybe red for the grey fabric or use the grey fabric for a small border with the red/black as main border? Take a picture of both options (or any other). That usually helps me to decide on borders!

    First place I would look is at the fabric manufacturer's website. usually they have patterns for using their panels. If not, I go looking at images found in Google:

    Thanks for the suggestions....I definitely will do a solid border & loved the panels on Google for getting ideas!

    These are all lovely colors - I would personally add some solid fabrics, to compliment the patterns in the choices.

    I would do a rail fence border. Easy. Putting the dark between the 2 lights, plus you could rotate them so you, no
    seams to match.
